ST. MARYS — St. Marys moved to 8-0 on the season and 7-0 in the Western Buckeye League title with a 42-0 win Friday night against Celina.

The Roughriders amassed 339 yards of offense – 269 yards rushing on 38 tries. Braeden Dunlop had two two rushing scores – of 1 and 2 yards - and threw for another – 35 yards to Ty Schlosser. Ty Howell added a 38-yard scoring run and Schlosser tacked on a 4-yard scoring run. The Roughriders' Eddie Fowler picked off a pass for a touchdown. Sean Perry led the attack with 138 yards rushing on 13 carries.

Celina (4-4, 3-4 WBL) compiled 258 yards of offense, 239 yards rushing on 62 carries. Kyle Zizelman amassed 109 yards rushing on 26 carries and Brett Schwieterman added 77 yards on 22 carries.

Pandora-Gilboa 41, Cory-Rawson 3

RAWSON – Peyton Traxler ran for 190 yards on 65 carries and four touchdowns as 8-0 Pandora-Gilboa continued on toward a possible Blanchard Valley Conference title with a win over Cory-Rawson.

Traxler's scores from 4, 10, 1 and 4 yards. Riley Larcom caught four passes for 108 yards and Jared Breece went 12-of-20 passing for 219 yards and two scores: a 22-yarder to Travis Maag and a 36-yarder to Bryce Basinger. Breece – who went 13-of-21 passing for 216 yards - also threw to Maag for a 2-point conversion for the Rockets (6-0 BVC), who compiled 404 yards of offense.

Tommy Stauffer ran 19 times for 32 yards for the Hornets (3-5, 3-3 BVC) and he was 6-of-14 passing for 22 yards as they were held to 49 yards on offense. Kyle Schultz kicked a 24-yard field goal for their only score.

Wapakoneta 42, Defiance 0

WAPAKONETA – Wapakoneta's defense was impressive in shutting out Defiance in a Western Buckeye League outing.

Leading the Redskins (7-1, 6-1 WBL) were Riley Gibson with a pair of touchdown runs - from 11 and 14 yards; Aaron Chambers with an 8-yard scoring run; Evan Kaeck with a 30-yard scoring run; and a 27-yard scoring pass from Brady Erb to Gibson. The Redskin defense also blocked a punt for a score and recovered a fumble for another score. Gibson ran eight times for 108 yards and Kaeck 10 times for 104 yards.

The Bulldogs fell to 4-4, 3-4 WBL.

Columbus Grove 44,

Delphos Jefferson 0

COLUMBUS GROVE — The Columbus Grove defense proved too much to handle for Jefferson in a Northwest Conference victory.

The Wildcats (1-6, 0-5 NWC) were limited to 64 yards of total offense – 30 yards on the ground – and the offense ran for 263 yards , with Brady Haunstein running for 118 yards on 11 carries and three touchdowns – of 4, 30 and 29 yards – and Garrett Nemire adding 140 yards rushing on 12 carries and three more scores: of 12, 2 and 67 yards. The defense for the Bulldogs (5-3, 4-1 NWC) even added a safety.

Tanner Matthewson led the Wildcat offense with 21 yards rushing on five carries and caught one pass for 15 yards.

Van Wert 33, Bath 0

BATH TOWNSHIP — The Cougars (6-2, 5-2 WBL) held the Wildcats (0-8, 0-7 WBL) to 118 yards of total offense and produced 236 yards of offense, 162 yards on the ground. Nate Place ran for a pair of scores — 4 and 46 yards — and had 13 carries for 91 yards and Owen Treece tallied a 4-yard touchdown pass to Ian Cowan and recovered a fumble for another score. Jake Hilleary added a 26-yard run for the Cougars' final score. Beckin Boroff led the defense with 12 tackles.

Bath ran for minus-5 yards rushing and added 123 yards passing. Cyrus Burden was 9-of-23 passing for 123 yards, with Lex Boedicker catching four passes for 48 yards. Tre Johnson topped the defense with a total of 17 tackles.

Shawnee 21, Elida 14

ELIDA – Shawnee (3-5, 2-5 WBL) scored 15 points in the second half to rally for a victory against Elida (2-6, 2-5 WBL).

Scoring for the Indians were Johnny Caprella, a 2-yard rush; a 13-yard run by Peyton Wilson; and a 50-yard Wilson run. Wilson amassed 90 yards rushing on 10 carries and Will Roberson added 92 yards on 13 rushes. Caprella went 9-of-14 passing for 125 yards.

Elida had a pair of touchdown runs: 2 yards by Layton Mowery and 5 yards by Keshawn Spivey. Evan Unruh totaled 23 rushes for 72 yards and went 13-of-27 passing for 136 yards. Devon Barnett caught five passes for 47 yards.

Spencerville 47, Bluffton 0

BLUFFTON – Spencerville's defense limited Bluffton's offense to 42 yards of offense as the Bearcats improved to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the NWC.

Cannan Johnson ran for three touchdowns: on runs of 52, 21 and 21 yards; along with a 44-yard run by Joel Lotz, a 5-yard scoring run from Kale Lee and a touchdown on an interception by Drew Armstead. The Bearcat defense also recovered a fumble for a score. Lotz ran 15 times for 133 yards and Johnson added 131 yards on 13 carries.

The Pirates (2-6, 1-4 NWC) were held to no yards passing as Nate Schaadt went 0-for-12. Schaadt was the leading ground-gainer with 22 yards on 14 tries.

Ottawa-Glandorf 31, Kenton 0

OTTAWA – Scoring for the Titans (4-4, 3-4 WBL) came from Danny Rosales (4-yard and 2-yard runs); a 19-yard scoring toss from Jacob Balbaugh to Will Kaufman; and a pair of touchdown runs of 35 yards run and 84 yards by Clayton Recker as O-G accounted for 412 yards on offense.

Jaron Sharp led the Wildcats (4-4, 4-3 WBL) with 21-of-53 passing for 238 yards, with his top targets being Landon Rush – seven catches for 104 yards – and Jayden Cornell – 10 catches for 97 yards.

Delphos St. John's 27, Parkway 22

ROCKFORD – Jared Wurst ran for three scores and 254 yards for St. John's.

Wurst led the Blue Jays (2-6, 1-5 MAC) with scoring runs of 8, 1 and 5 yards. Devin Lindeman added a 3-yard scoring run. Of their 360 yards of offense, 359 came on the ground.

For the Panthers (1-7, 1-5 MAC), Eli Rich ran for two scores: from 5 and 59 yards; and threw a 39-yard scoring pass to Preston Stober. The Panthers also blocked a St. John's punt.

Leipsic 46, Vanlue 0

LEIPSIC — The Vikings (7-1, 5-1 BVC) held Vanlue (0-8, 0-6 BVC) to 30 yards of offense. Their offense ran for 444 yards, with Gavin Lomeli running for 133 yards on 12 carries and one score – from 3 yards - and Jaun Pena running for 69 yards on two carries and a 68-yard touchdown. Kaiden Rader added a rushing touchdown of 19 yards, while Anthony Roman added 87 yards on three carries and a score – 52 yards - and Lorenza Walther adding a touchdown on the ground from four yards. Dylan Schroeder went 4-of-6 passing for 88 yards and scores to Tyler Hiegel (4 catches, 88 yards) of 15 and 51 yards.

Paulding 35, Ada 0

PAULDING – Jacob Deisler ran for three touchdowns – from 38, 24 and 5 yards – for the Panthers (3-5, 3-2 NWC). Deisler ran for 131 yards on 19 carries. Payton Beckman threw a 56-yard scoring toss to Drew Lumpkins and went 4-of-7 passing for 104 yards.

For the Bulldogs (2-6, 1-4 NWC), Phillip Coulson went 8-of-17 passing for 83 yards and added 79 yards rushing on 19 carries. Brad Clum caught four passes for 35 yards.

Anna 21, Coldwater 20

COLDWATER – Anna scored with 1:36 left to edge No. 1 ranked Division VI Coldwater in a Midwest Athletic Conference game.

The game-winner for the Rockets (6-2, 5-1 MAC) came on a 20-yard pass from Bart Bixler to Isaac Lininger. Their other scores came on runs by Bixler: from 7 and 24 yards. Bixler ran 20 times for 139 yards and Riley Huelskamp added 164 yards on 33 attempts.

For the Cavaliers (7-1, 5-1 MAC), Jake Hemmelgarn threw a 7-yard scoring pass to Cole Filling; and Mitch Niekamp ran for two scores: from 78 and 14 yards. Niekamp ran 15 times for 144 yards and Hemmelgarn went 10-of-23 passing for 97 yards.

Hardin Northern 55, Ridgemont 6

DOLA – Owen Wetherwill scored on runs of 20, 14 and 18 yards for the Polar Bears (3-5, 2-3 NWCC) as he totaled 151 yards rushing on 16 rushes. Brock Hipsher added a pair of rushing touchdowns – from 4 and 17 yards – and Ayden Mundy, Frank McCoy and Nevin Robson added scoring runs of 3, 1 and 31 yards.

The lone score for Ridgemont (1-7, 0-5 NWCC) came on a 31-yard pass from Troy Cameron to Tyrese Patterson.

Marion Local 7, Minster 6

MINSTER — All the game's scoring occurred in the first quarter as Marion Local's Nolan Habodasz ran 74 yards for a touchdown followed by Alex Klosterman's extra point. Minster then scored on a 72-yard Jacob Niemeyer run, but the Wildcats' point after kick failed. The Flyers stayed unbeaten at 8-0 and went to 6-0 in the MAC. Minster fell to 5-3 and 3-3 in the conference.

New Bremen 14, Versailles 7

VERSAILLES — The Cardinals (5-3, 3-3 MAC) bounced back from a 7-0 halftime deficit as Nolan Bornhorst scored on an 8-yard run and threw a 50-yard TD pass to Grant Selby. Versailles fell to 2-6 on the season and 1-5 in the conference.

St. Henry 20, Fort Recovery 0

FORT RECOVERY — Sam Lefeld ran for touchdowns of 14 and 4 yards and Zach Niekamp also had a TD on a 57-yard run as the Redskins moved to 6-2 overall and 4-2 in the MAC. Fort Recovery fell to 4-4 on the season and 2-4 in the conference.

Elgin 50, Waynesfield-Goshen 6

MARION — W-G fell to 4-4 overall and 2-3 in the NWCC.
